Why are you so cheap compared to bigger companies?
Wicked Windows Mobile Window Tinting are a small independent company working out of home. Because we are small,  we do not need to pay employee asscoiated cost, property lease and insurances which the bigger companies might.

Because of this, Wicked Windows can pass on the savings directly to our customers. Just because we are cheaper, this does not mean we are cheap on quality. All our products meet industry and Australian standards and come with a minimum of 3 years warranty against film defects and a 12 month workmanship warranty.

Will my tint turn purple?
NO. Cheap window films are dyed to achieve the desired color and darkness. The purple appearance is caused when the ultraviolet rays from the sun break down the dyes in poor quality film. This can happen quickly or take a while, there is no guarantee how long before cheap film fails.

Wicked Windows Mobile Window Tinting only use Full metalized film (excluding No Fuzz) which contain aluminum, titanium or other metals which are guaranteed in their design, and will never turn purple or change colour.

Will my tint bubble or blister?
No. Film will only bubble or blister due to a failure in the adhesive process resulting from poor quality manafacuring.

What brand of tint do you use?
Wicked Windows Mobile Window Tinting sorce our products from 4 major suppliers. Worldwide Indstries, MEP Films, Cooltone and Luminar.

What tint can legally be put on my car?
A T35% is the darkest legal tint we can apply to you car. Wicked Windows Mobile Window Tinting carry 3 different grades of darkest legal tints. These are Smokin' Black, Nice and Black Ice.

How long does it take?
The installation time varies from vehicle to vehicle. Things such as size of windows, work environment and what type of job is required to be done will determine how long it will take.

For a standard tint, expect up to a 1.5 hours. For a strip and re tint, expect up to 2.5 hours. Bigger vehicle may take a little longer.

Do I need to wash the vehicle prior to getting the windows tinted?
No. Window tint is installed on the inside of the glass. There is no need to clean the glass as the tinter will do so with a special cleaning solution before applying the window tint.

What windows do you apply tint to?
You pay for all door windows, including any quarter glasses, cargo area if applicable and the rearscreen. It is ilegal to tint the windscreen.

Can you tint my vehicle with darker films?
Yes. In accordance with the Australian Standards of Window Tinting, we can fit darker then legal tint to any glass behind the two front windows. The two front windows and any quarter glass panels within the door MUST only be tinted in a film no darker the a T35%.

How long until I can wind the window down?
The longer they stay in the up position, the better. However, it is recommended that you leave the windows in the up position for a minimum of 48 hours.

The film needs this minimal time period to start the curing process. If the window is wound down before this, it will result in the tint lifting from the glass and will void all warranty.

Will the tint affect the demister bars in the rearscreen?
No. All films are designed to sit on top of the demister lines allowing them to function normally.

I listen to AM radio, will tint affect the reception?
Yes. The metal fragments in our metalized tints make the reception destorted and fuzzy. If you are a regular AM listener, we can use a dyed based platic film for the rearscreen only at no extra charge.

Is the tint scratch resistant?
All window tints come with a protective scratch resistant coat. However, things such as seat belts, rings, watches and anything heavy will scratch the tint with force. Please be careful as we do not cover damage as a result of owner misuse.

How do I clean the tint?
It is best recommended that you DO NOT use an amonia based window cleaner. This will reduce the lifetime of the tint and void all warranty. This is what causes the tint to go purple.

A wet chamois is best used to clean tinted windows. If subborn marks such as greasy fingers marks are on the tint, simply mix up 50/50 methylated spirits and water and wipe clean with a soft microfibre cloth.

How do I remove old tint?
Removing old tint is a very tricky job. If not done correctly, damages to glass can result.  It is best left to the professionals.
